Re: New Timeline 11/11/2012 12:20:45 PM   (Total replies: 0)
They need to give us back the timeline and give us a choice to choose between this storyboard mode or timeline. It's ridiculous that after all these versions they still have not figured that out. At this point fewer and fewer people will use their software. I don't get these tests that they are talking about. This new way to make videos is simple and even more difficult than for me to use the timeline.

Re: Movie Maker 2011 Prepare 9/2/2011 4:21:19 AM   (Total replies: 0)
Yeah i feel like it takes longer to render as well. I haven't really used live I installed it and then it was worse than the vista version so I uninstalled it. It's sad what the movie maker has become since it's me and xp days.

They really need to implement more of the features that we ask for. 11/5/2010 8:56:54 PM   (Total replies: 1)
After Microsoft's release of Live movie maker and now wave 4...it continues to disappoint. It's making windows look bad as a video editing operating system option. What they had was pretty good and instead of improving upon movie maker they overhauled it to make it worse and even more simplistic. You can't use timeline. I'm sure that would not have been too complicated. I started using windows movie maker as a kid it wasn't that hard and back then I wasn't even into video editing. I just ...

Re: allow option in WLMM to save in various video formats 11/23/2009 4:11:52 PM   (Total replies: 0)
yes WMV is nice but more other formats would be better. It makes everyone's job a heck of a lot easier.

Re: Justification for dumbing it down 10/4/2009 12:31:30 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I wanted to leave them feedback but I guess it's obvious that they don't care for that. I sent them feedback but I doubt they care. I don't get it though they claim they are trying to incorporate both old and new users. The advanced as well as beginners but I only see a simple interface and it is really only targeting more simple users. I'm not saying I'm Spielberg but I would at least like to make a decent video. If they allowed comments I could at least way in on what they do and tell ...

The only thing I can think of is setting the aspect ratio to 16:9 instead of 4:3 tell me if that fixes anything

Re: More movie and sound tracks? 11/23/2009 4:13:38 PM   (Total replies: 0)
This is a must. Or they could do something as good as final cut pro. But let's get something better than or equal to iMOvie first.

Re: this forum dead?? 11/23/2009 4:09:09 PM   (Total replies: 0)
I defintely agree.First off windows underestimated themselves. Sure a lot of people use mac for video editing but the fail to realize that's probably because there isn't a capable application from windows. Think about it. They could have done better with windows live movie maker and then make windows movie creator or movie creator pro or something. The fact is there is not enough media stuff from windows. Movie maker was good for beginners than got a little more advanced. Then it went back ...

Re: Bit pointless for someone who uses WMM6 10/8/2009 8:01:25 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I agree. When I first heard of the Live movie maker I was kinda excited, finally an update. wmm6 was an update but not much of one. with so many years between as good as it was it was still lacking. However the Live delivered far worst. When I heard it would be simpler I was upset. I get it it's nice to attract newbies but like you said don't forget the rest of us! There are both old and NEW users.

i understand the whole point of it being easy for people to use. but if you have used it since windows ME which I have it was never that hard to use to begin with. It was very easy back then with the timeline and storyboard. It's actually much more annoying what they did now. I find the storyboard more useful. But the timeline is much better to actually edit with. Even if you make a video with storyboard or the new storyboard it still is much more difficult to actually use maybe if your just ...
