Re: Thick Green Line After Movie is Published 5/5/2007 11:28:31 AM   (Total replies: 0)
I'm a little late to this conversation, but just wanted to add that I've run into the same thing. If I save AVI files as anything other than DV-AVI, I end up with the thick green line. I have no codecs installed, not even the Vista ones as I've discovered they cause even more problems. My AVI files play and import just fine. However, to answer Considerate Guy's question, yes, it does work to save as DV-AVI, re-import and save again as WMV. So the two solutions I've come up with so far ...

Hi PapaJohn! Can you please tell me if the effects package # 2 and #3 are different from package #1? I purchased Adorage effects package #1 back in November and wasn't aware until I saw your post just now that there are two other effects pacakage for MM by Adorage as well. (Forgive my confusion if this is a stupid question, I see these are in your name, so I'm not sure if these are actually yours or Adorage's or if they are one in the same!) Also, if you have any other recommendations for ...

Thank you so much for the response! I should have known to check your site, sorry about that! I just watched your demo movies for the two new packages, and they look great! "Mission to Mars" was especially entertaining. :) I will most definitely add these two new packages to my collection. Thank you also for the direction on where to find other packages and for the directions for Kathy's site. I greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

You're awesome, thank you! Okay, stupid computer question now. I'm set up as Administrator, but am getting the error that I don't have permission to save in that folder. Any idea how I can change/override that?

Oops, never mind, I figured it out. I saved it to my desktop and dragged it into the folder instead! Opened MM and they're there! Thank you so much for all your help!!!

Blaine, just wanted to say thanks for your wonderful site and for all your help! It is much appreciated! Do you by chance know if there are any subtitle titles available for 6.0 yet? I had some old XML ones that worked in XP, but from what I understand, they won't work in Vista. I'm looking for a subtitle that will go along the bottom left hand corner. I've checked your site and Rehan's, but am not seeing any yet. If one is available, could you please let me know? I am more than happy to ...

It was one I got here. I no longer have it though as my old computer basically died and I'm working from scratch with a new one. I thought I had emailed the code to myself, but all I can find is one from PapaJohn's site for lower right hand corner, which is not the one I ultimately ended up using. I'll keep looking for it and let you know if I can find it. Thank you!

Re: Publishes in "Widescreen" format only? 5/7/2007 7:45:08 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I tried looking at properties earlier, but all it showed me was frame size. I'm at work at the moment, but I'll look at that again when I get home soon. It's just strange because all the camera/recording settings were from 4:3 and when I put the same video on my old laptop with XP, they don't import into MM as widescreen. They just do that in the Vista version of MM for some reason. My old laptop is on its last legs though, so I don't trust it to make my project on. It's not the end of the ...

Blaine, you're a genius! :) I checked my frame size, and they do appear to be the culprit after all! Now, why my clips are such a weird size, I have no idea, but at least I know that's why! I just apparently never noticed that XP stretched them! From what I can tell, standard 4:3 is 640x480 and mine are 640x350. So not widescreen, but not exactly 4:3 either! Very strange, not sure why they would turn out that way. But mystery solved at least. :)
