Confusionist say, the effect itself is neither professional nor unprofessional, butt it depends on how it is pulled out.

FontSize Range? 1/8/2013 3:53:00 PM (Total replies: 1)
What is the range of font sizes that can be specified in the UI, from smallest to largest?

Did your custom title actually get that big? Mine seems to stop enlarging after 72 or so on a standard title, when FontSize is set in the xml. I was wondering about the range for that kind of thing, and how it incrimented, but as you said it scales itself according to the boundaries too.

Oh, I see it now. It depends on the number of characters, or whether I oversize the bounding rect to get a giant font to show.

I am experimenting with some of the PI clips, thanks. Also, I wonder if they are licensed as non-commercial creative commons, for the sake of attribution, if I use them in a non-commercial video.

Maybe not quite, so I simply attributed them as "non-commercial" with a link to your site. As you requested, here is a link to the multimedia: Midwinter Two of the snowfall particle illusions were added to interact with the dancer, while the whirlwind transition allowed the snow to respond to her twirl.

I guess the bordersoftness area could be blurred until soft (micro soft, as it were), if I first saved the movie with that transition, then shaped a jpeg as a black band to fill in the semi-soft area, and applied that image as a transition between two copies having the original transition, blurring one. The banding is so apparent on this movie because it is being illuminated!

Oh, and I had apply a third transition to blend with semi-transparency between the blurred border and the original, especially since the blur offsets the screen position. It looks much softer now.

Softening the BorderSoftness? 12/22/2012 8:44:34 PM (Total replies: 1)
Hi, I was wondering if the BorderSoftness parameter for the SMPTE Wipe Transitions can be made to appear softer, using a combination of effects or something (for WMM 2.1). Background: I am trying to use either the Box or Rounded Rectangle (horizontal) transition, to put a video border around the original video (by setting it with the progress parameter). This for the purpose of clipping unwanted lighting around the outer footage, by taking lighting from its middle and making it into a ...

I also thought of trying to make the video higher quality by setting video smoothness and bit rate to maximum (with a custom profile), but this did not make any difference in the BorderSoftness.
