Lost all the video files from Windows Live Movie Maker 3/1/2015 8:39:21 PM   (Total replies: 0)
Hope you can help me. I am putting together an instructional film. I bought a Logitech C920 HD webcam and began shooting film to put into the instructional video. Then I began editing the film on Windows Live Movie Maker. I mixed in other free HD stock film and some still images. I noticed that each time I put in one of the film clips I had shot, Windows Live Movie Maker took a few seconds to convert it. (The webcam shoots film in MP4.) I then started to add music. All of sudden, my ...

recording narration 2/1/2013 10:26:21 AM   (Total replies: 2)
I have just downloaded windows essentials (Movie Maker) for Windows 7. I made a video and added audio. Next I wanted to record narration. But I found that when I clicked the record button, the audio portion of my video was silent. I wanted to hear the audio when I recorded the narration, because the narration has to fit with the audio, not just the silent video. Is it possible to do that? Thanks.

capturing video using external drive 3/21/2011 9:23:47 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi. I have Windows 7 and moviemaker 2. I don't have a video input on my computer, but I do on an external hard drive. Can I attach my video camera to the external hard drive and capture the movie onto the video hard drive, then transfer it to Windows Movie Maker? Or is there some other way to do it? Thanks.

Capturing video to windows moviemaker 3/20/2010 12:05:17 PM   (Total replies: 2)
Hi. I have windows XP. I'm want to capture a video from my video camera to windows moviemaker. However, the cable from my camera doesn't have a USB plug; it has what I guess is a video plug (rectangular shaped, with one end like a "v" and the other flat). My PC has no in connection opening for that kind of plug. I tried getting a USB converter and attaching it to my computer, but I keep getting an error message that says, "USB device not recognized." Please help.

Thanks Neophye. My camera is a Canon GL2. As I said before, my computer doesn't have a connection slot for the cable that comes with the camera. Does that mean I order a firewire card? The only slots I seem to have on my computer are USB slots.

Thanks, Neophyte. I'll look into this and order the firewire card.

Can't capture from Canon GL-2 11/10/2004 7:44:32 PM   (Total replies: 0)
I set up my computer with a card and fireware cable and hooked up my Canon GL-2 camera with a digital tape inside. I rolled the tape to the beginning. Then I went to Windows Movie Maker 2 and clicked "capture from video." I went through all the steps. When I clicked "start" nothing happened. No time elapsed, nothing. What did I do wrong? gfswolf

I downloaded a video from the internet, then imported it to Windows Movie Maker 2. After editing it and adding titles, I saved it to MyVideos. Now when I try to play the video, it is all fuzzy. What happened? gfswolf
