I am not real computer savy but I have added Title overlays on a Vista machine before...My Sister wanted me to show her How to add special effects to her MM like I have on mine..We have been successful at adding some titles but when it came to adding PapaJohns Overlays, We cant seem to accomplish it....I have them on my laptop but for some reason we can NOT add them to hers.. I have Vista Premium and hers is Vista Basic service pack2 32bit Any ideas would be appreciated Di

Thanks for the reply PapaJohn...I ran as administrator and copied and pasted into notepad...Not sure how to turn off user access controls during the setup and initial check afterwards.....could you explain? Thanks Di

Ok, turned user controls off...still wouldnt work...It is in the addontfx folder..the overlays are in the shared folder...but it still doesnt show up in MM..... Any more ideas?....I can add effects and transitions but titles arent working....FYI=I added Ayumi's Random titles to her laptop awhile ago but cant seem to add any titles now....what am I doing wrong?

It is probably something I am doing but I cant figuire it out....Hmmmmm I made sure the png files are in the shared folder the xml file is in the addontfx folder... It just doesnt appear in MM at all..... And just to make sure I shut down the laptop, restarted, went into MM, selected a picture, then went to titles and credits, clicked on title overlay on the selected clip, typed in Movie Maker, clicked on change title animation, BUT it isnt listed at ...

No, its a fairly new laptop that came with Vista. It says it is version 6.0(build6002 :service pack 2)
