MP4 DVD burner 10/24/2012 5:55:08 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I have been using Movie Maker 2012 to make several movies that are in the MP4 format. Previously, using Windows Live Movie Maker 2011, I could burn my movies to a DVD using Windows DVD Maker. I find the DVD maker does not support the format made by the Movie Maker. Any good solution to this problem? PS: It seems strange that Microsoft would change the output of movie maker and not change the DVD maker accordingly.

Thanks for the tip. I saved all six clips in .wmv format. Burned them to a DVD in 16:9 ratio. The DVD plays in 4:3 on the TV/DVD player. On the computer it seems to also be 4:3 with a black spacing on all sides. Any clue as to what is happening here? I checked my clips and they are in 16:9, Movie Maker is set to 16:9 on my saved DVD project.

The clips were saved at 1280 x 720. They all play in widesreen on my computer. The DVD has a 16:9 option which is checked. When I preview the movie on the DVD maker it is 16:9. I am going to go with the guess I had a glitch making the first DVD and just try it again. PS: I had indended to make 2 discs once the encoding was finished. The DVD maker did not let that happen. It asked the usual "do you want to make another copy," but when I tried it took me back to start encoding again. PPS: ...

Re-burn did not work. Re-encoding and re-burn did not work. Tested a clip encoded earlier this year, it worked properly. Re-encoded the same clip, another fail on the DVD burn. I suspect MM2012 is not encoding properly. I will try re-downloading Essentials 2012. It would be helpful to know if anyone else has the problem. If it more than just me the issue cannot be corrected at my level.

I reinstalled Movie Maker 2012 and, Lo & Behold!, it still does not work.

Movie Maker 2012 9/29/2012 7:22:58 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I have been using Live MM, just moved up to 2012. Found a small glitch. I turned off the sound on a short video clip. When transitioning to the clip from a still picture a small pop is heard. Any cure know? PS: is it time for a forum heading for Movie Maker 2012?

Changes to Windows Live Movie Maker 5/5/2012 12:37:23 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Two items I would like to have: 1. The ability to adjust the size or location of still pictures to avoid cutting off heads. If the picture is square it appears they are imported dead center, cutting off the top and bottom. 2. The ability to add a texture or pattern to the background of titles and credits in addition to the color selection now available.

Change default font for captions 4/26/2012 12:50:29 AM   (Total replies: 1)
I usually add captions on pictures and videos in a project using the same font, point size and color on each item. I currently have to adjust these for each new caption. Is there a way to set these defaults to work for the entire project?
