need to crop videos 1/6/2006 5:58:35 AM (Total replies: 9)
I'm searching for software to crop my scenes. By cropping I mean the same as a photograph; to get rid of parts of the scene I don't want. All I can find is cropping by timeline.

Thank you sir. Just what I needed "24" split screens.

Re: Problem with Speed Up Effect 12/29/2008 8:46:07 PM (Total replies: 0)
I had the same problem a while back. If I understand your problem correctly, put a short blank title between the clips then drag them (the blank titles) so they overlap the clips. The problem I had was once I split a clip all the clips picked up the speed up (or slow down) effect as well as got jerky.

showing videos on a television 12/12/2008 9:11:55 PM (Total replies: 1)
I'm sure that this has been addressed before but I couldn't find it. Or even if it is a tip or trick. This has been bugging me for some time. I started working with my local police department doing some shows for public access but mm doesn't seem to account for the mask on the screen; every resolution and size I used just filled the screen the same way. I have to jam the titles and logos in from the edges or they are off the edge of the screen. I solved that by using one of Rehan's static ...

I should have added the test screen I use is my 48" RCA television, not a computer monitor.

shatter in 4/15/2007 7:38:52 PM (Total replies: 1)
I'm playing with a transition that I'm having problems with. Instead of an outward shatter, I want to make an inward shatter - that is I want the title to come in from 360 degrees around the screen and appear to assemble in the center of the screen but my efforts are laughable at best. Any suggestions welcome. Argh.

Sorry, I didn't explain it well in my utter frustration. What I'm thinking is pieces of the text coming in from all four sides of the screen and then assemble in the center. I figured I could do it with a shatter effect if I used a black base screen and put the text on a white screen. Doing white/white isn't very impressive.

Forgot. For whatever reason my shatter in transition is shattering out. I'll add the one in this thread.

Here's what I'm trying to do but just the opposite of this effect. The little blocks go IN and assemble. Probably can't be done but since I'm always wrong...... Saw it on a preview for a show on Spike and thought it would be cool. demo
