To elaborate on my problem I installed the effects but all I can find is the SetupMultiscreen.msi I can't seem to find the actual effects to move into the appropriate folder.

Re: Windows Movie Maker can't save my music video. 11/13/2007 11:31:12 AM   (Total replies: 1)
I agree WMM is such a touchy and just bad program. They don't bother fixing it because i'ts a free program and it would cost them money to fix it. I have problems with it just freezing then saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close. But I can deal with that i'ts the saving thats horrible, it just hardly EVER works.

Custom effects not working in WMM 6.0 11/17/2010 5:48:04 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Hello, I have a Windows 7 computer but I found a version of 6.0 to download, because I hated Live. I have my AddOnTFX folder in the right place, and the effect names are all showing up in my Movie maker, but when I put the effects on the clip it just makes the preview screen flicker from a black screen to the actual clip over and over randomly or it just appears to be black, which is not what they effect is supposed to do.. It does this with all the custom effects, but the effects that come ...

Vista version for Windows 7? 12/25/2009 9:56:23 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi, I just got a new laptop for Christmas, with Windows 7, and I notice it does not have the Vista version of WMM, all it has is WMM live, which I don't really like. I was wondering if there was somewhere I could download the Vista version or just what the version is called? Thank you, Vail.

2.6 is the old XP version, I'm looking for the Vista version... Is there not a way to get it back?

I downloaded 2.6 earlier because it was all I could find... But it still isn't the Vista version, which I really like. Is there a reason you can download that version but now the Vista version? Also, is there any plans to give Windows 7 the movie maker? I don't know how these things work, but you would think they would include WMM is Windows 7. ): Unless they thought WMMlive was better... Which I can't see why they would.

Re: Which is better, MM in Vista or XP? 12/26/2007 1:46:02 AM   (Total replies: 1)
WMM on XP simply does not work, it freezes a lot and hardly ever with save your movie file, I strongly reccomend Vista for movie making.
