I can confirm that I had this problem using the K-lite codec pack. DivX seems to work fine for me as thats what my video is encoded in before editing. I had this problem a white and found it was the Xvid or something similar. It made my Windows DVD maker crash a few times.

Hi all, I have been using movie maker and think its a good tool. Anayway, I have a few suggestions that could improve it. I have Vista and version 6.0 1) Be able to put titles where you want on the screen e.g. create title on clip and drag it with mouse pointer where you want on screen. 2) The choice to be able to upgrade sound quality based on your soundcard cause using HD Video is not that great without better sound than it is at moment 3) A few features to "enhance" the quality ...

Had another final suggestion that would be more useful... Multiple sounds instead of having just video sound and mp3/wma/wav sound as well.

Thanks. Thats what I aim for in my videos. I have another I made of this butterfly I made not that long ago: http://www.zshare.net/video/2051728764c0c9/ Its not much, buts is a OK vid. Wanted to add music, but it would not sound well I think.

I am back again and I have a problem. I know this may be someting to do with a codec or filter, but whats wrong with Windows DVD Maker? I know it can run slow with out a good graphics card (previews run slow) and I keep getting error wehn going to 99% (Takes 20mins to get there) saying "Cannot create DVD" with no aparent message saying exactlys wrong or nothing. I got this 4 times then got "Catastropic error" then on the last attempt my DVD burned. Took about two hours to do so however. ...

Just wanted to know this one. Would it be possible to impliment a computer voice that could be used as a narration e.g. like microsoft sam or whatever, when you type some text, it would read that and use that as a narritave?
