Please Help with PiP+ Problem
Posted: 27 Jan 2007 04:39 AM
hi,
i bought PIP+ to make the following (simple?) movie in movie effect:
- Start Video A
- after some second overlay an Image B in the corner
- then after some second Image B shall disappear and Video A shall continue

i used the transition "PIP+ Static: B corner top right", but i only get the following effect:
- start Video A
- i can only put the Image B at the end of Video A (not in the middle)
- after Video A is finished, Image B is shown full screened for some frames.

I didn't get it to make a real movie in movie effect described above.
please help me.

thanks
matthias

Hi,
What you want to do requires seperate video tracks, and that's just
not available in MM2. However, you can cobble something together
with the PIP+ transition provided at the end of this post.
The way this work....once the transition starts, Video B is showing, then
Video A pops into the upper right. Vid A eventually disappears and Video B
continues for it's duration. So just put the video you want "windowed" as
the first clip on the video track.
This solves part of your problem, but creates a problem before the
transition kicks in...Video A will be full screen. You can make a 2nd pass
remove that...or you can use the PIP+ effect that I also provided, and that
will cause Video A to be blacked out at the start. The combination of the
effect on Video A and the transition to video B will be as follows.

Black screen
Video B fullscreen
Video A windowed on Video B
Video B fullscreen

Can anyone help me?

I just DLed the trial thing and I cannot for the life of me figure out how this works. All it does is take the clip and fly it around on the screen with an ugly pink color as the backround? How does one change the backround color or how does one make it so it's actually Picture In Picture as opposed to Picture in Ugly Pink Backround?

I'm going nuts here! What's the deal?

Use the PIP *transitions* and use them between a couple clips.
