<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{B4DC8DD9-2CC1-4081-9B2B-20D7030234EF}">
<Effect name="Zoom in, Extreme" iconid="33" comment="Zoom to extreme close-up">

<Effect name="Zoom out, Extreme" iconid="34" comment="Zoom from extreme close-up">

</Effect>
</EffectDLL>

that above is called an XML file. Just copy and paste it into Notepad and save it in C:\Program Files\MovieMaker\Shared\AddOnTFX. Make the AddOnTFX folder if it is not there. Then when you restart WMM, it should be there.

No, you don't import it. You just leave it alone, and it will apear in effects or transitions menu. When WMM opens, it automatically scans the AddOnTFX folder and shows all effects and transitions that are suited for windows movie maker.

Hi, I have made the word document and put it in the folder but it does not appear in any of my transitions or effects lists. Have I done something wrong?

LibeRatioNZzXx - welcome to the forums.

You need to use Notepad rather than Word to save the xml code. See Rob's post in this thread for more detailed instructions on how to save the code in Notepad.

Thank you
I have found out that I was not putting '.xml' at the end. I have now done this but it is still not working. I am using Windows XP.
