Strange saving problem....
Posted: 18 Jul 2004 11:34 AM
Every time I try to save a movie, I choose "Save top my computer" and the dialogue where you choose filename shows up. Everything works so far, but as I press ok and the next dialogue shows up, where I'm supposed to choose quality and such, the screen is all messed up. Several options are shown on top of each other and you can read them properly. If I press "Show fewer options" the screen clears up and I can choose "Best fit for my computer" or whatever it is called. But when I press ok, I find that the programme is trying to save the file to a recordable CD.

A friend of mine has the exact same problem. The programme has always worked before but suddenly this error has shown up and it is totally impossible to save a movie to the harddrive.

Please help!

Re-install Direct X... I had this problem too and by installing DX again everything worked fine.

Try a reinstall of Windows Movie Maker, perhaps. Or a System Restore back to when it was working?
