Push transition

I have a push left transition, but I was wondering if there was a way to push right, push up, and push down? Thanks!

You can make these using PIP Plus. Which needs to be installed.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0" SpecialIconFileID="1033" SpecialIconResourceID="101">
<Transitions>
<TransitionDLL guid="{4EF98DF5-794F-4fd3-8E77-559F82C8D10C}">
<Transition name="PIP+ Push Left " iconid="0">
<Param name="RectA" value=" 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, -1.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
<Param name="RectB" value=" 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
</Transition>
<Transition name="PIP+ Push Right" iconid="0">
<Param name="RectA" value=" 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 1.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
<Param name="RectB" value=" 0.0, -1.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
</Transition>
<Transition name="PIP+ Push Up" iconid="0">
<Param name="RectA" value=" 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 0.0, -1.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
<Param name="RectB" value=" 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
</Transition>
<Transition name="PIP+ Push Down" iconid="0">
<Param name="RectA" value=" 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
<Param name="RectB" value=" 0.0, 0.0, -1.0, 1.0, 1.0;
1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1.0;" />
</Transition>

</TransitionDLL>
</Transitions>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

Copy paste the xml code into notepad and Save As pipplus_push.xml in folder C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX. Confirm the file has .xml extension by turning off the "hide extensions of known file types" from Explorer > Tools > Folder options > View. Restart WMM.

Note: Since this is a dynamic movement transition, it would require registered version of pipplus after the trial is expired.

Not really... the built in DLLs do not have parameters to move around video frame 'B'. So all that you can achieve is "Move" which just moves A over static B frame underneath.

Rehan, I would like to do something similar this but I would like to push the image to the left, do a split screen with an image on the right, and then go back to the original image. So for example, I would be interviewing someone, slide that image to the right, transition to a picture of what they are talking about, while the interview is still taking place on the left side of the screen, and then transition back to the interview.

Is this possible with PIP+?

PipPlus web page seem to work. May be you hit a bad time during server maintenance or similar? Try again.
