Thanks Barb. I added links on the site directly to the Amazon (your favorite) pages to help both books along.

Thanks Bill - I'm not trying for posting ranking - so go right ahead. Maybe Rob will it make it so this one doesn't count for me. You're probably ahead of me on 'quality' of posts.

Hi Tucker,
I think the popularity of Movie Maker is only in it's very beginning. So we're getting some practice now about how best to provide info to the many, many more who will have the same questions around the corner.
This forum, and the one at SimplyDV.com are the two that seem to be the online 'anchors' for MM2 info, along with my website. I'll be supporting Rob on this one, and moderating the one at SimplyDV. And the website is a constantly evolving work.
Thanks for any of your ideas about the content in them, or how to structure it, as we go forward.
Rats - another post for the scoreboard!!! But you made me do it

Heh, I wasn't aware that MM2 existed till I visited your site, I was using the version that came with XP. But your website helped a lot with figuring it out (had most of it figured out from the similarities between the two types, but was confused about everything else). I would buy your book, but I would rather practical experience, trial and error, you know.

Thanks. In that case, as you bump into interesting things, please share your experiences so I can add them to the website. Too late for the book - it's off running down the homestretch.
I enjoy the experiential learning also. My most interesting one during the week was in the area of crreating and playing back odd-sized movies. I put another one on the site last night -on the Saving Movies... Custom WMV Profiles page.

John, When is the date that your book will be available from Amazon.com? I keep seeing the message that it has not been released yet.

Re: Thank you PapaJohn! Posted: 07 Dec 2003 03:14 AM |
The book was put together Friday Dec 5 (they used the term 'in cover') and the publication date is Dec 10. So mid-December is a good bet for Amazon having copies to start shipping.

Thanks Linkman.... no, I don't get paid by anyone for maintaining the websites or making postings. But I do try to make money from the nooks and crannies like book royalties, selling Transition Maker 2, etc.
