Effect needed
Posted: 12 Jan 2006 08:09 PM
Hi, can anyone do an effect where the movie has less frames per second (while still going at normal speed) and maybe dulling the colors a little to give a webcam sort of effect.
Anything that looks kinda like a webcam would be awsome, forizzlys

Thanks,
Devin

So pretty much you just an effect that makes it look like it's from a web cam? With the dull colors and low frames per second.

"Microsoft is plagued wth some sort of conspiracy and silence sourounding certain subjects..."
(When contacted for a reply Microsoft said,) "........ MIcrosoft does not comment on such rumours...."

Here is the XML for frame skips.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{ADEADEB8-E54B-11d1-9A72-0000F875EADE}">
<Effect name="Frames Skips" iconid="4" comment="Skips">
<Param name="FrameSkips" value="9" />

</Effect>
</EffectDLL>
</Effects>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

Just change the value number to meet your need.

For the dull effect try this XML

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{E673DCF2-C316-4c6f-AA96-4E4DC6DC291E}" >

<Effect name="Dull" iconid="11" comment="Dull Effect">
<Param name="EffectID" value="24" />
<Param name="Control1Value" value="20" />
<Param name="Control2Value" value="25" />
<Param name="Control3Value" value="10" />
<Param name="Transparency" value="20" />
</Effect>
</EffectDLL>
</Effects>

</TransitionsAndEffects>

It may not be what you are looking for but let me know if it's close so that it can be tweaked some.

Hope this helps

any way to make the Dull effect not skip any fps? It's a bit choppy and I'd like that to stop.
