Right now I am unable to provide detailed instructions but yes, you can make it move but its more involved: You need to use chroma key transition to overlay a moving image over your clip.

1. Create a PIP+ effect to move the image across. restart WMM with the effect installed.

2. First place your clip on the storyboard
3. Then place the bordered image on the storyboard as well.
4. Use the PIP+ effect from 1 to move this image across.
5. Now apply the chroma key transition to overlay that moving image over the first one.

Does it make sense? I hope you would be able to figure out the details of these steps otherwise shout back.

You have to edit the pip xml so that the clip goes across the screen.

"Microsoft is plagued wth some sort of conspiracy and silence sourounding certain subjects..."
(When contacted for a reply Microsoft said,) "........ MIcrosoft does not comment on such rumours...."

Try this effect on the image:

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0" >
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{0BEDE179-3361-4eea-9058-11CBB1739D50}">
<Effect name="PIP+ Expanded Pan Across" iconid="0">
<Param name="RectA" value=" 0.0, -1.0,0.0,2.0,1.0 ;
1.0, 0.0,0.0,2.0,1.0" />
<Param name="Background" value="black" />
</Effect>
</EffectDLL>
</Effects>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

First install and test PIP Plus. To install the above effect copy paste the xml code into notepad and Save As pp_across.xml in folder C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX. Restart WMM.
