if anyone ever saw spiderman 1 or 2 the it always starts with the comics fliping down really fast and then it fades red and then fades in to the marvel logo i tried something like this but unfortunatley when i sped up the flipping of the pictures it coulldnt cope with the speed and it was jumpy any way i can make it smoother or find an easier way to do this? Thanks and if i figure it out i'll post a tutorial.

wow looks like i wasnt the only one interested in this effect! Yes i imported all the pictures and put the fade down transition on all of them (you can use the "page curl up right" transition aswell) save that then import it again a double the speed 2 or 3 times -i think- then get the marvel logo and just drag it over the end so it fades in and wolla!
N.B. If you preview the clip as your changing the speed it wont come out at all, the computer wont be able to cope with the speed of change in the pictures but once you save and view it in media player or whatever it'll be perfect!

That was cool! I liked the flickering on the "Marvel" logo in the second one.

What was the font you used in the first clip? It had a nice look.

Where did you get the "Fade Down" transition?

I think he meant the 'Wipe, Normal Down' or 'Wipe, Narrow Down' transitions which are standard with WMM.

Alternatively, I just coded up a couple of Page Curl transitions that work from the top down, that might help:

Copy/paste this code into Notepad (not WordPad). Save them in C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX as pagecurl.xml. If the AddOnTFX folder doesn't exist, create it with that exact name, then save.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Transitions>
<TransitionDLL guid="{C63344D8-70D3-4032-9B32-7A3CAD5091A5}">
<Transition name="Page Curl, upper left" iconid="27" comment="Page Curl, upper left">
<Param name="InternalName" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="PageCurlA" value="upperleft" />
<Param name="ShowABack" value="true" />
<Param name="FadeStartA" value="0.8" />
</Transition>
<Transition name="Page Curl, upper right" iconid="28" comment="Page Curl, upper right">
<Param name="InternalName" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="PageCurlA" value="upperright" />
<Param name="ShowABack" value="true" />
<Param name="FadeStartA" value="0.8" />
</Transition>
</TransitionDLL>
</Transitions>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

When you restart WMM, you'll have two new Page Curl transitions.
