Split Screen Pushed
Posted: 24 Dec 2014 01:36 PM
Hello,
I am new to the post but have been searching like others for bits and pieces of what I think I need.

I am using mm2.6 and am playing with the xml files but have come up empty handed.

I have the desire to have a transition that will squeeze CLIP ONE to the lower right of the screen say 15% adn the new CLIP TWO will encompass the opposite upper left at 85% while the upper right and lower left areas are each colored differently to use as text areas. This would be a motion transition so you would see CLIP TWO squeezing in and CLIP ONE almost being squeezed out. After a duration the transition would return to CLIP ONE.

Is this possible, and thankyou!

This sounds like a job for Rehan's PIP Plus add-on.

THANKS!!!

Yes, This is exactly what I was looking for.
It took me a while to figure out where it was loaded as I have /program files and /program files(x86).
Just had to move to the proper directory.

The only hard part may be the background. You can use images in PIP Plus, but you'll probably have to create one that is made up of two triangles formed by a diagonal going corner to corner along the diagonal.

I have already been looking at the file formats and am able to work quite well with these.

This is a great help in my project.

I am wondering how to change the graphic of the icon in the index with a file and path. I realize the PIP+ is there for the credit but it means being too descriptive in the title.

If you are talking about the icon used for the custom transition, you can either pull one from a provided custom DLL file (such as the one provided with PIP+), or you can use the standard ones.

For example, maybe #27 would work for you:
