Importing Power Point Presentation
Posted: 13 Jan 2013 01:02 PM
I should like to make a 'windows movie' out of a microsoft power point presentation. I'm using Windows Movie Maker (the vista version, I believe). Any tips? I'm aware that it probably depends on what format I save the pp presentation in. Perhaps I should ask on a pp forum? All help/advice gratefully received. many thanks. JG

If you are running PowerPoint 2010, you can export your presentation directly as a movie. Otherwise, all I can suggest is using video capture software to record the presentation as you play it back.

WMM 6.0 on Windows 7 or 8

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm unfortunately not running PP2010 (I may try to obtain it) and I have indeed gone down the video capture route. The results are not pretty!!. However, at least I know where I stand now. Again, many thanks. JG.

I'm not sure which PPT you're running, but try exporting your Powerpoint as jpeg slides (try Save As). Then you can insert each slide into MM.

Don't bend! Put WMM6 on Windows 7:

Many thanks 4 the response. This was in fact what I resorted to: long-winded but it worked!
