Also I know there are other "shake" effects posted, but i need a more violent shake and only one large shake as opposed to 3 shakes.

Just name the file in the Save As dialog as "something.xml" and save. It will be saved as an xml. The XML file is a normal text file anyway. The only difference is that it has an xml extension rather than a txt one.

Mudcon...not a dumb question.

You just need to create an effect that enlarges the clip
a small amount, so maybe the size values would be 1.01,1.01.
Now, at time 0.0, start the location at -0.005,-0.005
then at time 0.5, set it again to the same -0.005,-0.005
then at time 0.52, shift it up,down, left, right (-0.005,0.005 moves it down)
then at time 0.54, set it back to what it was -0.005,-0.005

That should be enough to create a quick shake halfway through a clip.
Move it less to make it a more subtle shake.

I don't have any XML in front of me...so I am doing this all
in my head, and I can't test it out right now. You will have to
try it out, and if you run into problems...I can code a sample
for you tonight.

Samfla,
Just type "choseaname.xml" in the filename box. Don't worry about
the "save as type box". Choseaname being changed to what you really want.

This might be too subtle, but it can always be adjusted.
As I suggested, I chose to enlarge a little, as to avoid frame shake.
It's your choice.

try messing with the 3rd parm in this line:

0.52, -0.005,0.005,1.01,1.01;

change it from 0.005 to say 0.010 or 0.020

Remember, this is "roll your own"....
so you need to try things, and see what works for you.

Liu-
Welcome to the forum.
Copy /paste the xml code into NOTEPAD and Save As: you give name here.xml extension in folder C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX. Create the AddOnTFX folder if necessary. Confirm the file has .xml extension by turning off the "hide extensions of known file types" from Explorer > Tools > Folder options > View. Restart WMM. The .xml extension is the IMPORTANT part.
