Fading secondary audio tracks Posted: 23 Feb 2004 11:56 AM |
I've been searching for a free (or cheap) program to fade, rearrange, add echo, etc., for the WAV and MP3 files that I use on the secondary audio track of MM2. This allows me to add music wherever I want within a movie, for whatever time is necessary to fill.
So far I'm very pleased with Wave Creator 3.1 from Blaze Audio. The program is easy to learn and does what I need. Cost is $19.95, with a free 30 day trial. Blaze has a few other great products too.

I'd be interested to learn about other programs out there. One that I tried was Acoustica, but I found the learning curve too much for impatient old me.

The best free audio editing app on the market is Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net). It supports a variety of plugins, does tons of multitrack layering if needed, and offers a greater depth of features than many of the commercial and shareware audio editing apps. |
