WMM Vista HD rendering
Posted: 23 Oct 2010 04:12 AM
I've watched about 10 youtube tutorials. I'm doing everything else correctly. It's the publishing step that messes everything up. When you're supposed to do the More Settings drop down box...I don't have any HD options.
Mine looks like this

What can I do to render in HD. And yes I am using an HD webcam.

Welcome to the forums.

If this problem just started recently, try doing a System Restore back to a date when you were able to select the HD settings. If that doesn't help. post back with whether your operating system is Windows 7 or Vista.

Is my understanding correct that you tried doing a System Restore and that didn't help? If it is, install the HD custom profile from this page on PapaJohn's website and see if it works.

Seanster - I assume you have the 4 prx files inside the Profiles folder, which in turn is inside Movie Maker 6's Shared folder, like below?

grapemanca - FYI, I have three HD profiles in version 6.0 and no prx files in my Profiles folder.

Interesting. There must be other ways to access the HD options, then, though from seanster's first picture it looked like he was using the same method I use.

I've explained the way I use the HD options in my WMM6 here:

You can easily add additional profiles. My WMM6 installer for Windows 7 automatically adds four additional HD profiles. That seems to be the same method grapemanca is using, albeit manually.
