replaying clips Posted: 03 Dec 2006 05:34 AM |
| Replay only shows part of my clip. My actual clip is about three minutes, yet only about ten seconds can be replayed? |

it's usually a codec issue, needing file conversion before importing.... see the Import Movie Source Files section of my website > Video

| my Setup MM2 in XP > Other Software page has links... but your risk would depend on how you hop around from there on a selected site. |

You say in one post that you're only 12... but you say in every post and at YouTube that you're 18.... do you really know how old you are?
being 12 or 18 is no excuse for not being able to learn all this stuff.... :) |

Your model camcorder is a PAL one.... and you 'moved to the states' where we use NTSC camcorders. I wonder if you have a mismatch...

Newby with problem!! Posted: 30 Jan 2007 05:56 PM |
Hi Papajohn,
I am new to this forum and I don't know where to look to solve my problem.
I have done three movies with wmm2.1 so far everything was o, but with the third one after having spend time, lot of time yesterday when I try to open the file I had only this sentence:
.....mswmm is not a valid windows movie maker file.
Is their a way to re-open this file , to fix it, that was a lot of work and I don't have the courage to do it again.
Thank you very Much,

welcome to the forum...
if your project file is screwed up and you haven't backed it up, then no, there's no way to fix it..
but it's worth checking to see if it's really the project file, or is it Movie Maker with the problem... try opening the project on another computer to get another vote... |

generally you can get any software online... if you mean U getting it, not me getting it and giving it to your... and maybe paying for it if you need to.
but there was one software app that I tried to find online and couldn't.... Panasonic's DV Motion Studio. I had the disc but couldn't point others to someplace to get it.
Some software that comes with a camera has nothing to do with the camera itself... either way, you need to say exactly what software and version you're looking for. |

| you should get, if you don't have it, a firewire cable and use Movie Maker 2.... if you're running Windows XP.... if you're on an Apple computer, use iMovie |

it could be codec related stuff.... see my website's Import Movie Source Files > Video > whatever file types you're using...
if it's not that then it's a setup issue about Movie Maker... use my site's Setup MM2 in XP > MM2.1 page to explore issues about it... if needed
