CPU REQUIREMENTS
Windows Vista 32/64-bit SP1
Windows Movie Maker 6.0
A Decent Graphics Card To Support ShaderTFX

These were originally made by Hitthebongo for Windows XP.

I have remade his creations to work on Windows Vista movie maker.
You can also find these at my My Site
Take notice that all downloads are coming from comcast.net, i have uploaded to their site. Preivew videos can be opened with Windows media player.
The installers must be ran as administrator to prevent problems, all installers are ran under "quiet" mode. You will not see anything, it is "automatic".
All files are installed to %programfiles%\movie maker\shared\addontfx\
Some subfolders are installed in the "Addontfx" directory due to many images.
Uninstallers are created in the control panel and in the AddOnTFX directory. The uninstaller name will follow exactly the same as the installer that you downloaded. Example: I download the "Metallic Text" under "Titles". The uninstaller is named "Uninstal BFX Metallic Text [Vista].exe" because the installer is named "BFX Metallic Text [Vista]"

Anyone know how to get colored text to work? <(DeleteSpace)color="Silver">Special ThanksTo:</color> does not seem to work.

MMK, great work! You did a really great job, making a big website (with Nicholas) and these effects too. Much work, but you turned them into good titles and effects! Good job!

Thanks. Nicholas set it up for me, i just filled in the text and links for my downloads. I remade all of his effects and titles into titles, because it doesn't require ShaderTFX. I also remade his effects into effects too.
The advantage to the effects is that they don't require any resizing, while the titles and effects remade into titles, do.
The advantage to the titles is that they don't require shadertfx.

This came from a Blaine post...forgot where it is but I have it in a notepad file I keep.
To make a smiley appear in your post, type the characters shown. Be sure to include spaces before and after for your emoticon, otherwise it won't appear.

I had an email yesterday enquiring about getting some of my transitions to work in vista movie maker. Needless to say I'm very grateful to MMK for having done these conversions.
My site has been neglected for a while now but I want to try and make it alive again as soon as I get some spare time. I'll make sure that my very first task is linking to MMK's excellent site (I love the really clean and neat design BTW)

Good luck with your site! Also, thanks, Nick made my site by the way. He did a really good job on it and i love it.
I hope to update some of these effects and titles, trying to get them as close to the originals. I haven't received any complaints on the effects and titles, but I know there is a few i can improve. I plan on making 1 last thread on these remakes, after I email Rob for some edit rights.

I am noticing alot of these effects don't work, they are either black when you test them, or they all do the same thing... Mostly on transitions and effects I am seeing this, any ideas?

After following TheOnePb's suggestion , if that doesn't yield results you might have a file path issue in which case the xml may need modifying.
I don't know if the vista version of moviemaker allows relative file paths and if MMK's xml conversions make use of them. If they don't you may be suffering from the same issue that a few XP users suffer from. The following link is XP specific but may also apply to Vista users if the file path given for the transition masks within the XML is an absolute value:

Its probably just lacking the "all mighty power" of shadertfx. To make sure that file path issues aren't a problem, in the xml instead of specifying C:\ i use %programfiles%
This way it will automatically use the default drive path you are currently running. The only way it could be a file path error is if you are running on windows vista x64 bit
