hmm, ya know you could get a sort of strobe light effect by spliting the clip and have them fade in from white. cut them so the clips are really short so it flashes as it plays... but that's the best I know of a strobe light, not sure if theres an actual effect or not. hope it helps...

If you are on XP, here is the effect I use....save it and look for it as 'flicker2' in your effects.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{ADEADEB8-E54B-11d1-9A72-0000F875EADE}">
<Effect name="flicker2" iconid="31" comment="shake film">
<Param name="FlickerFrequency" value="2" />
</Effect>
</EffectDLL>
</Effects>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

With your mouse, select/highlight the code above...then right click your mouse and choose to 'copy' it.
Now, click on 'start'...then 'all programs'...then 'accessories' and then 'notepad' to open it up. With notepad open, right click in the body of notepad and select 'paste' to put the code into notepad.
In notepad click on 'file' then 'save as'....at the top of the save wizard browse to the location to save in. You want to put the code in the addOnTFX folder located at c:/program files/ movie maker/ shared/ addOnTFX. If that folder does not exist, make one in the shared folder. Now, .for the file name type in.... flicker2.xml ....making certain you have the .xml extension. Change the save as type to 'all files' and the encoding to 'ansi'. Click on 'save' and the next time you open Movie Maker you'll have flicker2 as a strobe like effect. Good luck.
