Squashed pictures
Posted: 22 Feb 2008 02:00 PM
hello everyone,
I was wondering if there was a way to use the 'side by side' transition with out squashing the pictures. I have two pictures that are vertical. They have a black bar on either side of them so they don't take up the whole screen. Is there a way to make the pictures fit the whole screen so when i use the side by side they aren't squashed?

Thank you in advance.

You'd want to use the 'Split Screen' effect instead. And probably a shift left or right to fit it into the appropriate side of the screen. You would end up losing the edges of the pictures.

It might be easier to edit your pictures at the begining to just put two side-by-side as desired.

Try these move effects... one of them should get you a good position. If not just change the position values below.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{B4DC8DD9-2CC1-4081-9B2B-20D7030234EF}">

<Param name="InternalName" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="MoveA" value="left" />
<Param name="Progress" value="0.25" />
</Effect>
<Effect name="Move Right 0.25" iconid="33" >
<Param name="InternalName" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="MoveA" value="right" />
<Param name="Progress" value="0.25" />
</Effect>

That's odd. Simple2D works on my XP system and is less CPU intensive compared to Simple3D. But I changed them to Simple3D in the post above so others don't have the same problem.
