Hue and Gray Effect!
Posted: 08 Oct 2007 06:53 PM
This effect is for Windows XP....

I randomly fiddled about with a code and it turned into a pretty cool effect!

What this does is it makes some part of the video gray and the other parts a blue hue! I'm sure someone could change it so it was with different colors, but I don't have the time at the moment, so, if anyone does make sets with a variety or colors (red instead of blue and etc) please post 'em here!!

Here's the XML to save to your Addontfx folder:

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Effects>
<EffectDLL guid="{B4DC8DD9-2CC1-4081-9B2B-20D7030234EF}">
<Effect name="Blue Tint" iconid="16" comment="COLOREXP1">
<Param name="InternalName" value="Hue" />
<Param name="Value" value="0.11" />
</Effect>
</EffectDLL>
</Effects>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

Hope you like it!

Using the Hue effect you can get all sorts of colors. Here's a small subset from Rehan:

Yeah I have those, but the way my code works seems to do something slightly different with the video, like the subjects will be blue but some parts of the background would be gray...At least that's what it looks like on my comp...

It's the same effect, but you are using a specific Hue value of 0.11 (closer to aqua or sky blue). It varies by clip, but if you try any of them you'll see that only certain things get the color and others go to grayscale.

P.S. I like that blue color.
