DPL PIP Transitions (modified) for Shader TFX Posted: 29 Sep 2007 12:57 PM |
I wanted background color/image for Shader TFX PIP transitions. I see that Rehan included most of the code in his release package, but didn't expose it for now. Being impatient, I finished the code and added background images for my personal use.
Here is a demo. DPL PIP Samples1
You can download the package at DPL PIP Installer
Unzip the download and run the exe installer as administrator.
Rehan, if I am stepping on your toes, let me know and I'll remove this.
Have fun, PatrickL |

Is there any way to make this work whit Vista x64.
I have the Shader TFX for vista x64 working.
The problem is that all the effekts just give a black screen. |

Black screen is normally the symptom of either low grade graphics card, or bad graphics card driver. Some graphics cards do not have enough dedicated video memory and use shared system memory... ShaderTFX uses the graphics card memory to work.
You can check the memory usage from:
Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Performance Information and Tools
and then click on "View and print details" under the scores table.
Browse through to see the Graphics section which shows something like this:
Graphics
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Display adapter type Radeon Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series
Total available graphics memory 895 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 128 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 767 MB
Display adapter driver version 8.501.0.0
Primary monitor resolution 1280x1024
DirectX version DirectX 9.0 or better
