what's wrong with the codes
Posted: 11 Feb 2012 06:29 AM
I tried to combine the codes for typewriter and fade in/out effect but it doesn't work.
I am on WMM2.6.
Would appreciate if someone could advice.
Many thanks in advance.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Titles> <TitleDLL guid="{353359C1-39E1-491b-9951-464FD8AB071C}">
<Title name="Typewriter Top fade in out">
<Param name="InternalName" value="TitleStandard"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Typing text one letter at a time"/>
<Param name="OptimalDurationMultiplier" value="2.0"/>
<Param name="ForceProgress" value="1.0"/>
<Param name="EntranceEffect" value="EffectFade"/>
<Param name="EntranceDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Param name="MainEffect" value="EffectTypeWriter"/>

Thank you very much to Neophyte for your prompt response to my email.
Greatly appreciate it.

Appended below is the xml code:

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
<Titles>
<TitleDLL guid="{353359C1-39E1-491b-9951-464FD8AB071C}">
<Title name="Subtitle top(typewriter fade in/out)" iconid="13" >
<Param name="InternalName" value="TitleStandard"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Subtitle top(fade in/out)"/>
<Param name="EntranceEffect" value="EffectFade"/>
<Param name="EntranceDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Param name="MainEffect" value="EffectTypeWriter"/>
<Param name="ExitEffect" value="EffectFade"/>
<Param name="ExitDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="ShadowOutline" value="Outline" />
<Param name="FontSize" value="20" />
<Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="256" />
<Param name="VerticalAlignment" value="top" />
</Paragraph>
</Title>
</TitleDLL>
</Titles>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

I am currently using WMM2.6 on Win7.
I would probably upgrade to WMM6.

And for anyone on WMM 6.0, here's the equivalent code:

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="2.8">
<Titles>
<TitleDLL guid="TFX">
<Title name="Typewriter top (fade in/out)" guid="Typewriter top (fade in/out)" iconid="13" comment="Blaine's post #251166 ">
<Param name="Animation" value="TitleStandard"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Fading title at top that appears using typewriter effect"/>
<Param name="EntranceEffect" value="EffectFade" evaluation="Linear"/>
<Param name="EntranceDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Param name="MainEffect" value="EffectTypeWriter"/>
<Param name="ExitEffect" value="EffectFade" evaluation="Linear"/>
<Param name="ExitDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="ShadowOutline" value="Outline" />
<Param name="FontSize" value="20" />
<Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="256" />
<Param name="VerticalAlignment" value="top" />
</Paragraph>
</Title>
</TitleDLL>
</Titles>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

That code is incomplete and is missing some image references. Can you post a question in the original thread where you found this? Are you asking to have that for WMM 2.6 or WMM 6.0?

That code (the complete version I mean) should work in WMM 2.6 already.

So sorry for my typo error in my earlier query Considerate Guy.
Thousand apologies.
I actually meant equivalent code for WMM6.0

@stan72, are you on WMM 2.x (XP) or WMM 6.0 (Vista)?

Also, you have the animal images overlapping the rectangle for the video... that might cause problems...
