Realistic Shatter
Posted: 24 Aug 2008 06:18 AM
Hi,

I made 2 new Realistic Shatter transitions. One based on MasterCheese his XML.

How to use:
1) Go to C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared. Create a new folder called AddOnTFX using right-click > New Folder. If there is a folder called AddOnTFX already, do nothing.
2) Copy and paste the XML code into Notepad (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad)
3) Now save the XML into C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX with a name that ends in .xml (this is an important step)
In Vista, you will likely get warnings that prevent you from saving directly in the AddOnTFX folder. If so, save in another folder (like 'Documents') then copy the file to the AddOnTFX folder in a separate step.
4) Restart Movie Maker (by closing the program and restarting it).

<!-- This XML for Windows Moviemaker 6.0 Vista installs 2 additional Shatter effects for you.

Hi!
I have a few questions about this:

1. What effects are in the package?
2. Does it require ShaderTFX or something?
3. Does it contain a virus?

Thanks! :D

1) Look at the lines that say "Effect name" or "Transition name" above. That tells the name of the effect or transition that you will get.
2) Look for the line that says "EffectDLL" or "TransitionDLL". If you see 'TFX' that is the standard library which comes with Movie Maker, thus no other library (e.g. ShaderTFX) is required.
3) I doubt that TheOnePB would want to distribute his stuff with a virus, but if you are worried at all, you can just copy the .xml code to a file and then copy it to your AddOnTFX folder. Directions are in the first pinned post in this forum.

Thanks Considerate Guy,

3. No, of course I don't distribute virusses. But I mostly share XML's, which actually are just text, like these, which can be impossibly virusses. Also, these XML's have been tested that they work. I actually think you mean the first packages, and no, it doesn't contain virusses, mediafire scanns all it's files for virusses, which you can see at the start of a download.

How can I get this same effect (shows up as Fast Flicker White on my Vista WMM) in black? I would like the same fast flicker in black.
How do I change future xml codes for this...I dont know where to insert the color. Please help. Thanks!

Nice work master cheese! Been using the rotation xml's. There's a couple of mistakes in it tho. Here is the corrected xml. The rotation 40 and 60 didn't show up with the others due to spelling errors in the name of the effect.

Hi,

I used the installer, but nothing happened:0

Did I do something wrong?

Or should I use the XML?

Have a nice day,

Usually with a installer, it loads any xmls/files in movie maker. Check movie maker.
