Mixing 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios

Do you create fanvids or AMVs?
If so, are you using clips ripped from many different sources?
Sick of the problems when mixing widescreen and fullscreen clips?

Don't Worry. You're not alone!

The problem of mixing aspect ratios often gets asked on the forums, but there's never been a simple solution...

UNTIL NOW!!!

Yes! Introducing the Pippa's Ghost Aspect Ratios Effects Pack.

At last, your problem is solved! No longer will your fanvids be plagued by people suddenly looking too tall and thin or short and fat. Everyone will now appear perfectly proportioned all the time!

So, what do you get when you download the Pippa's Ghost Aspect Ratios Effects Pack? Four XML files containing 20 PIP+ effects to make aspect ratio conversion easier and more flexible than ever before! You choose the best, most appropriate effect to apply to each shot in your movie!

Don't want your Movie Maker effects list clogged up with all these effects? No problem! Only extract those files with the effects you'll need.

Converting from 16:9 to 4:3.

16.9--4.3static.xml
* Four effects for converting 16:9 widescreen to 4:3 fullscreen
* Works with both free and full versions of PIP+

16.9--4.3pan.xml
* Six additional effects to convert 16:9 widescreen to 4:3 fullscreen
* Requires full version of PIP+

But wait... There's more...

Converting from 4:3 to 16:9.

4.3--16.9static.xml
* Four effects for converting 4:3 fullscreen to 16:9 widescreen
* Works with both free and full versions of PIP+

4.3--16.9pan.xml
* Six additional effects to convert 4:3 fullscreen to 16:9 widescreen
* Requires full version of PIP+

Yes, all this can be yours if you download the Pippa's Ghost Aspect Ratios Effects Pack. You'll wonder how you ever coped without it!

This is a nice solution to the problem of mixing aspect ratios, but you can't truly say that there's "never been a simple solution..."

I posted a reply nearly two years back about how to do this both with PIP+ and custom titles:

That said, your pack *is* a really nice pack with both static and dynamic effects.

Oops. I must've got a bit carried away with the fake infomercial style hype. Sorry.

The download link in that post has expired.
Is there some alternative link?

I use Firefox+Greasemonkey scripts for easier editing of forum posts, FAQs and displaying embedded images Wink

The link is about 3 years old, so we'll see if you get a reply or not. If you don't get a reply, you can go the TheFXArchive.com and download a compilation of PIP+ effects that would include these...
