New titles with Vista's WMM?
Posted: 05 Mar 2007 08:30 PM
Have they added any new titles with the new version of WMM that comes with Vista?
I think the ones they have so far are pretty basic. By the way, does anyone know where I can get ones that are a little more adventurous and different?

Rob.

Blaine, just wanted to say thanks for your wonderful site and for all your help! It is much appreciated! Do you by chance know if there are any subtitle titles available for 6.0 yet? I had some old XML ones that worked in XP, but from what I understand, they won't work in Vista. I'm looking for a subtitle that will go along the bottom left hand corner. I've checked your site and Rehan's, but am not seeing any yet. If one is available, could you please let me know? I am more than happy to purchase one, if that is an option too. Thanks!

If you can direct me to the XP version of the title, I'll show you how to turn it into Vista version...

It was one I got here. I no longer have it though as my old computer basically died and I'm working from scratch with a new one. I thought I had emailed the code to myself, but all I can find is one from PapaJohn's site for lower right hand corner, which is not the one I ultimately ended up using. I'll keep looking for it and let you know if I can find it. Thank you!

To make these titles work in Vista you would make the changes noted in bold:

Copy/paste this into notepad, save as subtitles-stretchfade.xml. Then copy it to C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX.

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="2.8">
<Titles>
<TitleDLL guid="TFX">
<Title name="Subtitle, Stretch Bottom" iconid="13" guid="Subtitle, Stretch Bottom" comments="Blaine's Post 115189">
<Param name="Animation" value="TitleStandard"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Subtitle, Stretches together"/>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="EntranceDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Param name="EntranceEffect" value="EffectFade" evaluation="Linear"/>
<Param name="ExitDuration" value="1.0"/>
<Param name="ExitEffect" value="EffectFade" evaluation="Linear"/>
<Param name="EntranceZoom" value="10.0 0.81"/>
<Param name="MainZoom" value="1.1 1.2"/>
<Param name="ExitZoom" value="10.0 0.81"/>
<Param name="VerticalAlignment" value="Bottom"/>
<Param name="FontSize" value="18"/>
</Paragraph>
</Title>
<Title name="Subtitle, Fading" iconid="13" guid="Subtitle, Fading">
<Param name="Animation" value="TitleStandard"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Fading Subtitle at bottom (overlay)"/>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="EntranceDuration" value="0.4"/>

<Param name="ExitDuration" value="0.4"/>
<Param name="ExitEffect" value="EffectFade" evaluation="Linear"/>
<Param name="ShadowOutline" value="Outline"/>
<Param name="BoundingRect" value="0.1 0.4 0.8 0.45"/>
<Param name="FontSize" value="18"/>
<Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="256"/>
<Param name="VerticalAlignment" value="Bottom"/>
</Paragraph>
</Title>
<Title name="Subtitle, Fading Low" iconid="13" guid="Subtitle, Fading Low">
<Param name="Animation" value="TitleStandard"/>
<Param name="Description" value="Fading Subtitle at the very bottom (overlay)"/>
<Paragraph>
<Param name="EntranceDuration" value="0.4"/>
<Param name="EntranceEffect" value="EffectFade" evaluation="Linear"/>

You're awesome, thank you! Okay, stupid computer question now. I'm set up as Administrator, but am getting the error that I don't have permission to save in that folder. Any idea how I can change/override that?

Considerate_guy...
Can you help me by creating fading subtitles at both the upper part and lowest part of the video???
The subtitles appear simultaneously...and for the upper part,make it more to the top than normal....

I've been trying to create the code but so far didnt achieve it...
Maybe it's for two-lines subtitles.....

I don't really know how to create one...
Can you help me..Please..??
Anyone.....

Just reply please....I want that code......

Help....

~You are who you are...never change but always progress!~
