Request your Vista Transitions, Effects and Titles here!
Posted: 08 Apr 2007 12:07 AM
Before requesting any transition, effect, or title please check the pinned post.
If you are going to request a transition, effect or title please give some kind of example and be as detailed as possible. A useful example would be a youtube video or a picture.

If you are looking for Gradient wipes, Green screens/blue screens, PIP (picture in picture) These can all be found in the pinned post.

Do not ask for a reverse video Movie maker can not do this, video editing software, however, can. Movie maker can not edit the sound at all, you will also have to use third-party programs to edit sound.

Here is all my made basic XML's so far:

Thanks MMK. I combined 18 of them in one xml file and gave them a MMK name prefix.

Particularly liked "MMK Break, Move, Spin" and "MMK Zoom, Fade".

Heart Opposite looked like the built-in Heart to me. What's the dif?

I think i used the same guid for the heart oposite as the normal heart. If you click on the normal heart, then click on the other heart it will play the same as the normal one, so you'll have to play a differnt transition before using that one so you can see.

An easy fix would be to change the guid:

<Transition name="Heart, opposite" iconid="19" guid="Heart opposite">

Ok heres what you do

First you have to be on a windows vista computer.

1.) Open notepad
2.) Copy the transition and paste it to notepad
3.) Then save the notepad, and name it .xml
4.) Go to C:/Program files/moviemaker/shared/AddOnTFX
4. A) If you dont have to folder called AddOnTFX then make it and put it in the folder "Shared"
5.) Now put the .xml file in the folder AddOnTFX

Notes
-You can tell that when you save it, it will not look like a notepad icon it will look like a notepad with a mini world on it. If you left click ( Or double left click) it will open with internet explorer. And it will say if it works or not, so make sure to copy it right.
-To get to your C: (AKA hardrive) go to start menu, then "My Computer"
-Make sure you are on a windows vista computer not XP cause these transitions will only work for the movie makers on windows vista computers.
-Any questions just ask.

do you have code for a bluescreen transition like the one we had in XP?

I am recently still researching the Bluescreen transition so it will work for vista. So i'm not sure how long you'll have to wait, sorry.

Hi I'm fairly new to using WMM and running on Vista. I am a member of a Paranormal Research Team and looking for any effects I can use in movies based on a paranormal or "ghostly" theme. What I'm really after at the moment though is a static/electric effect that will work well with a movie I am playing around with right now. Maybe like a tv static effect. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

That's really not an effect... more of a clip that you can add to the start of your movie. See this thread:
