BlendZoom and Four Corners for Vista?
Posted: 04 Apr 2007 02:35 AM
Blend Zoom and four corners were my favorite transitions on WMM 2 but now that I'm on Vista i can no longer use it, has anyone been ablem to make something like those or would be willing to give it a try?

I was able to make an equivalent for "Blend Zoom".

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="2.8">
<Transitions>
<TransitionDLL guid="TFX">
<Transition name="Blend Zoom" iconid="80" guid="Blaine's Blend Zoom" comments="Blaine's Post 108063">
<Param name="Animation" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="ScaleA" value="bigger" />
<Param name="FadeStartA" value="0.2" />
</Transition>
</TransitionDLL>
</Transitions>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

But I need more information on the 'Four corners' transition. Is that a wipe transition where it travels to the four corners? I don't think that is readily achievable with just XML under Vista, so I'm going to have to get more info.

Blend zoom smaller, out, how you want to call it:

<!-- This XML for Windows Moviemaker 6.0 Vista installs 1 additional BlendZoom effect for you.
This XML is made by TheOnePb. Please use this webpage with sharing:

Happy editing! [Last update 08/2008] -->

<TransitionsAndEffects Version="2.8">
<Transitions>
<TransitionDLL guid="TFX">
<Transition name="Blend Zoom (smaller)" iconid="80" guid="Blend Zoom (smaller)" comments="Blend Zoom (smaller), by TheOnePb, Based on Blaine's Post 108063">
<Param name="Animation" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="ScaleA" value="smaller" />
<Param name="FadeStartA" value="0.2" />
</Transition>
</TransitionDLL>
</Transitions>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

(so it goes to the back and fades! Looks nice!)

I edited yours to give it a different guid... if you don't you can have problems when you switch effects/transitions.

Once you have given me this code:
<TransitionsAndEffects Version="2.8">
<Transitions>
<TransitionDLL guid="TFX">
<Transition name="Blend Zoom" iconid="80" guid="Blaine's Blend Zoom" comments="Blaine's Post 108063">
<Param name="Animation" value="Simple3D" />
<Param name="ScaleA" value="bigger" />
<Param name="FadeStartA" value="0.2" />
</Transition>
</TransitionDLL>
</Transitions>
</TransitionsAndEffects>

what do I do? Save it somewhere? How do I use it?

WMMVistaUser101 - welcome to the forums.

See Rob's post in this thread for how to use that xml code in Movie Maker.

Is it possible to make a Blend Zoom that zooms to the right or left of the screen?

Not with the method given above. It only scales relative to the center of the screen.
