1.resizing effect for windows xp
Posted by meperson9879 on 8/1/2011 10:21:29 PM
Me again.
Looking for a resize effect (like this: http://movies.blainesville.com/2011/04/custom-resize-effects-for-windows-movie.html) for a windows xp compatible version of movie maker. I've seen one before, in fact, I've had one before (lost it, gottam); I know it's out there. Can someone help a bro out?

resize as in trimming the edges of a video clip.

Might just be me being stupid, but I can only seem to find the "5% crop" coding. How do I change it to, say, 15%?

excuse me for being vague, I'm using your "Crop 5%" effect from here: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=129678

Never mind, I found a different effect set that works for me. Thanks for you help, oh considerate one!
7.screen tear effect

Looking for an effect that causes screen tear, similar to the subtle tear seen at 0:29 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b52bwPam7O8&feature=related

I've looked everywhere, but can't find anything. The split screen thread on this forum wasn't what I was looking for. Can someone hook a brother up?

The tear was intended to look like a camera glitch, so I'm not sure if it really was or not. I'm only looking for an effect that mimics a tear like that, maybe even offset 10% rather then your guess of 5%.

I'm not certain what version of WWM I'm using. I'm using an XP, however, so I know it isn't the most recent version. Will I need to update WWM to enable an effect like this, and can I? If it's avoidable, I'd rather not update it, but I will if I need to.

Sorry for the late reply. I checked out the demo for the effect, but it isn't really what I'm looking for. Do you know of any other possibilities? Perhaps a transition, similar to the screen split transition, only the top half is lowered and offset or something...? Just speaking my mind, thanks for helping me out.

This works well, the only problem is that the move up effect lingers after the transition is over, as the transition won't last through the whole second clip. Is there a way to fix this? Otherwise, this is almost perfect, thank you.

Not sure how I didn't think of that... Thanks so much for the help!
