I still have XP myself, so hopefully others, with Vista, that have developed or downloaded custom titles can offer some that are similar to what you are looking for. You could also browse thru the Vista sections of the forum to see what is available for free.
Another choice for you may be the TitleFX wizard by Pixelan. The title wizard alone is $15 and there is various pricing for the combinations of packages. Here is a link to take a look.

Hi. Just checking, but did you download and install the Pixelan demo? See the first post on this thread on 'how to use'....#1 mentions to install the Pixelan SpicePack Demo. Have fun.

Really a cool idea. Here is how I used a few of the shapes as PIP from these 'transjelly' transitions. Lots of ways to use these and many to choose from.
You can use for titles, and also use a 'scale' effect to make a vid/image fit inside a shape. Depending on the location of certain items in a vid they may be in the wrong location...but there are many shapes to experiment with. A lot of surprising results doing this. Solid moving backgrounds look great, and also a duplicate of ...

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
A couple of things to mention....first it is good that you created the AddOnTFX folder inside the 'shared' folder. However, when you save the xml code (not html), you must paste and save the code from Notepad (not Wordpad).
The codes you likely tried are for XP and not for Vista. It sounds like you have a Vista system. The way to tell which system the code is for is by looking at the version in the first line(s). If it ...

Welcome to the forum. One of the things you can do fairly easily and with some creativity, is to get Ayumi's titles...which gives you a large number of choices for title placements on the screen. For Vista, go to this thread... view post 144279 or for the XP Ayumi titles get them here view post 110437
You would make two titles...one at a top location and one at a bottom ...

Hi carthr, welcome to the forum. When you save it from notepad, give it a name with .xml as the extension. And then for the format, choose 'all files'...it would be your only other choice than txt file. After you save it, you can go into the AddOnTFX folder and see (in thumbnail view) that the icon looks like all the other xml's. Have fun.

Hi...if you have successfully done some codes and find them in Movie Maker you are doing it right. If the new ones are saved and are the same as those xml's in the AddOnTFX folder then you should find them in Movie Maker. Be certain you are looking in the right place...some are effects, some are transitions, and others are titles. You can see the name in the code...that is what you look for inside Movie Maker. The 'titles' on this page are code for XP, so these are not for Vista. There ...

Hi. When you are in the titles and credits area, click on ''change the text font and color''....in that section you can change the font, the color, the size, and on the right side the position of the title....just click there to make it align left, center, or right.

Try out the various subtitles at view post 36395. The lower subtitle and lower basic title are good ones for positioning a music video title. Have fun.

Here is an example I made from the xml code below...one is 'fading subtitle' and then 'low fading subtitle'. The size is set by the font size in the code, so you can set it smaller if you like.
...this is the code...good luck

Hi Curt....you are getting the idea... Lets get you started...so follow closely like you always do. LOL.. First lets get something for the computer to read....use Notepad.
Open up Notepad...you know the routine....'start' 'all programs' 'accessories' then
'notepad'. After its open type in a line such as .....''I really like how Curt can make me talk and my lips don't even move''..... ha ha Leave Notepad open...and now go to 'start' 'all programs' ...

Yeah, I think either way would be ok. I don't use Audacity, but use Total Recorder, which I got a long time ago. Curt's used the Free EZ Recorder for a project before, so I know it works for him. If I remember right, it did take me a while to get the input source correct for Total Recorder so that it worked. With it I can set the time to record a specific site late at night..(i.e. Nights with Alice Cooper) and many other uses/types/quality etc. I have cable digital tv/music stations thru ...

ha ha ha....Curt, you made me laugh. I did have some spare time a few weeks ago, and started experimenting with some holiday ideas. Some ideas are expanding to where I will have to plan it out....usually I just plan and alter as I go along if its not too complex. Last year I did a 5 min first Christmas vid, for a nephews toddler..it was really good, so at least I think I'm improving..LOL Here is one I wasn't going to show or give, but it is useful as a teaser.. The others will be more ...

You need to right click on the link and choose to 'save target as'....otherwise the link will attempt to open a player to play the file, which it can't do. So, right click and save it to your computer and you'll be able to name it and locate it where you want it. It will look even neater if you find a nice pic with just heads and overlay them in the frame with some music. Have fun!

Hi Curt. Glad you got it.. I bet you will remember that next time! Yeah, on a lot of vids I set them to not be downloadable. Mostly based if I think they are usable for anything or not. That panning one was using Pixelans new wizard. PapaJohn has a lot of cool things he's made and he has a tutorial on that too....he's always ahead of the curve. Why is it that for some reason, I think you put a smiling alligator in that spinning frame? ha ha ha

No, we have to thank you for all that good work Fishy. Putting all of this together must have been like trying to herd cats running in different directions. So many custom xml's from many locations, some right, and some wrong to start with, and you got them organized. Lots of people were helped and likely were proud of themselves for the new accomplishment of installing and using computer code.

Welcome to the forum. Why not go to Rehan's site at the link below. Download and install BOTH of the executables shown and you will have all of the Metacreation transitions inside your Movie Maker. Look on the right side of that page to see the various transitions included....the fisheye one is the same as the one called 'lens'. Have fun.
