Why can't we just uninstall the demo packages? Why back them up?

Josh,

You're posting in the wrong location. Sad

As PapaJohn explained to you earlier, you just can't move them from a program into WMM. Each software works differently and the software you're interested in copying belongs to Sony Vegas; WMM belongs to Microsoft.

That being said, PapaJohn explained that you would have to create your own xml codes to attempt to ...

Josh,

Create a new post and in the subject line, mention the type ofr effect/transition you are looking for. However, I don't know anyone on here who is going to pull up Vegas and attempt to recreate all of their transitions, effects for WMM which was why I referred to Window's website. Have you looked at all the new things Rehan, Blaine, MMK, PatrickL, etc have created? They have some wonderful stuff that Vegas doesn't have.

8.Re: how do i convert a MSWMM to WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG

AngelxArya, welcome to the forumSmiley

MSWMM is a file that WMM creates when you edit imported video, audio, etc and add effects/transitions to your project. The MSWMM is basically saving what you want as a video file but isn't a video file onto itself. To create a video file you have to "Save as Movie". Now as far as some of your videos coming in black, what are the extension files ...

Your extension files are like .AVI, .MOV .MPEG2, etc. If your files happen to be .AVI then that may be your issue. AVI is what is known as a container format and it may or may not work in Movie Maker. It all depends which codec was used to create the file. You can use a converter compatible with WMM to convert them to either AVI or WMV. Media Converter is a good option. I've provided the link for you below.

Pinnacle Studio v12 is another option and they have 3 different versions that you can buy, I think their lowest one is ~$60. I'm currently using their Ultimate version because I didn't want to deal with upgrades within the software. I also have the Ulead VideoStudio 10 installed and agree with Katho that I'd rather use that version until the bugs are worked out of version 11.
12.Re: DPL Flashing Transitions and Effects for ShaderTFX
Posted by av71099 on 7/18/2008 7:00:45 PM
I actually had the same issue, only in reverse. I'm still having some quirky problems but the issue is around ensuring that your machine has all the updates. The video wasn't showing up in preview and the final project wouldn't show the video either. So I installed Vista SP1 and I updated all the drivers on my machine. I now can see the transitions but I'm still have issues with the DPL but I'm working on eliminating one by one what is causing it. Everything else works fine but the ...

Make sure you named the file correctly and you should be able to find it under Titles and Credits. I downloaded and used the code yesterday and it works fine.Smiley

Expand your Timeline view and make sure that the title isn't too small. Try dragging it out to see if you can see it.
15.Re: New "Home Theater" and "Home Theater Zoom" title overlay
Posted by av71099 on 10/27/2008 6:14:22 PM
Is this the only custom title you're having issues with? Try updating all of your drivers. Also, it may not be the title but the video itself.

Try this, create a new project and only place the title (no video, pics, music) and see if you are still having the same issue. If you're not then its definitely the video file.

You need a paid working registered copy of ShaderTFX to make it work. If it's still not working for you then you need to update all of your drivers. Your drivers are pieces of software that make your keyboard, video card, mouse, etc work with the OS. Check to see if you BIOS has an update as well. Sounds like you may have some other issue going on on your machine.

Before you register the software, lets figure out what problems you are having and see if we can resolve them first.Smiley

Have you done a Malware/Spyware scan of your PC lately? Need software, can give you a link?
When was the last time you defragged your hard drive?

Update your drivers by visiting your PC manufacturer's website.

Also, are you saying ...

Welcome to the forum. Smiley

What are the extension of the files you are importing into MM? You may want to try to this....

Go to Tools, Options, Compatibility and in the Filter box uncheck all .ax filters and see if that works. Smiley

I don't think MM is compatible with the file type. You are going to have to convert over to WMA format. Give that a try.
