OK If this is a conscious decision.... but perhaps unlike you I have more than 300 transitions. Scattered ones are almost lost. However I can edit your XML file myself to arrange as I like... so not a big problem.
For the relative path I forgot it only works with titles. So yes you cant do that. This makes it difficult to make it compatible with other language/regional installation of xp.
FYI: For this reason on vista with ShaderTFX I allow using system ...

Good attempt. Some comments:
* group your transitions by giving them a prefix such as "Fayfen Flags: Brazil"
* Make the path to image files relative such as:
<Param name="MaskName" value="AddOnTFX\fayfen\lebanon.png"/>

Posted by rehan on 4/4/2005 5:50:33 PM
I have made available the final release version 1.0 of my PipPlus plugin at http://www.rehanfx.com/pipplus.htm.
This plugin is completely unrestricted for 15 days. After the trial period expires it can still be used freely to do:
1. Picture in Picture with preview
2. Solid Borders
3. Image Overlays with either chroma key or alpha channel

yesmar, please explain the problem. What do u mean by "cant get it to stay up"? Is it crashing? Are the other effects (non PIP+) working?
|6.||Re: PIP Plus 1.0 released

Oh I see. You need to switch to timeline view and drag the second clip over the first towards left to increase the overlap. The overlap length determines the duration of a transition.
To change the duration of a static picture itself drag its right edge to increase/decreased its duration.

AddOnTFX folder is only part of the issue. The main DLL goes in C:\Program Files\RehanFX\PipPlus\ folder and needs to register itself in the registry. This cannot be done without Administrator privilages.

I am sorry about this... Guess I did not really test it thoroughly enough for the non admin account. Please send me an email (support at rehanfx dot org),I would like to sort it out.

it can be used to achieve that sort of look, but needs to be done in 8 passes. First pass will place two videos in the top boxes form eample and then each new pass will combine one more video in the next box.
A pass is: render a movie (Ctrl-P) and use the result in another project.

My plugin does not come with all the possible transitions that can be done with it. The interesting stuff is left as an exercise for the user... This is because each person has different requirements. Study the XML of the provided effects, its not difficult to make your own effects and transitions.

Lanshire, do you know the difference of an effect vs a transition? An Effect only works with a single clip. Split Video needs to show parts of two clips one the same screen. How can a "split video" be an effect?

Does your posting in this thread mean you are calling these split video transitions to be $tupid?
In what way are these "$tupid"? You could have said you are not interested in such transitions but how are these stupid? The $ in this word implies these are expensive too. But these are freeware.
If by posting a comment like this you are expecting somebody would get load of encouragement to make any special effects as per your wishes then I would ...

Are you saying that you are unable to download the zip file?
The zip file contains just a single text file with extension .xml. I am not aware why the security software on you PC would want to block this harmless file. I have not seen this behaviour on any of SP2 machines here.
Please read the instructions on the page again. There is no tricky step though... download the zip file, extract the xml file it contains into a particular folder and thats it.

Hi Blaine... After the trial period expires ShaderTFX should continue to work for vertical split transition that accompanies the main plugin package. The only limitation in place for unregistered version after the trial is for externally loaded images. Unfortunately the full Split Package used external images so doesn't work.
Anyway all these should work in freeware mode:
* Chroma Bluescreen/greenscreen transitions
* Cube rotate transitions

Thanks for informing about the installer. I will fix it asap.

It happens because the installer hasn't succeeded installation. You may not have full Administrator privilages. Try this:
1. Download ShaderTFX again and save it on desktop or any temp folder. Make sure you get 64 bit installer if you have Vista x64.
2. Close WMM.
3. Right click on the downloaded msi or exe file and select "Run As Administrator".
4. Complete the installation
